new york city yoga class schedules

east village:

om yoga center
vinyasa
for a while i really enjoyed this place. not overwhelmingly spiritual
(cyndi lee is more buddhist-minded, methinks, which i imagine is
appealing to many ) and the deep relaxation always feels short,
but the classes are fun -- they are big into inversions and
partner assists. yippee!

826 Broadway (@ 12 St.)

jivamukti
i like to call this 'circus yoga', but don't get me wrong, sharon and david are
serious yogis. the place feels kinda trendy to me, but there are some good
teachers here. its a nice mix of super athletic poses with some spirituality tossed in.

dharma yoga center
take a class with the teacher who made the famous poster!
watching dharma demonstrate the poses is worth checking out a class here.
plus he is super sweet, if you ask me.
